Mequeala Munar grew up in San Francisco, and has had the pleasure of working with DCYF for almost 2 years. Prior to DCYF, Mequeala worked with the Human Services Agency for 4 years. She enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her son, along with family and friends. Her favorite food at the moment is Mexican food - you can’t go wrong with tacos! Mequeala enjoys meeting so many great people at DCYF and looks forward to putting her efforts in giving back to her community.

What inspires you to do this work?

My family is what inspires me to do this work. They have passed down their experiences and stories which gives me the motivation to keep making San Francisco as relatable and memorable just as they remember it.

Yes! I believe San Francisco is a great place to grow up. There are so many experiences people can keep with them while being here in the City. There are great opportunities for everyone of all backgrounds. I believe we have the best resources for all.
