Senior Program Specialist | FUNDING Team

Jennifer is a Senior Program Specialist at the San Francisco Department of Children, Youth, and Their Families. In her role, she partners with grantees on their youth programming and services. Before coming to DCYF, Jennifer worked at SF Recreation & Parks for eight years serving SF’s disability and Deaf community. There, she coordinated and supervised specialized programs and inclusion services for youth and transition-aged adults with disabilities, inclusive youth programs, and general recreation programs. She believes that through high-quality inclusive programs, young people learn to accept different cultures, backgrounds, and abilities. 

Jennifer spent her formative years attending school and summer camps in San Francisco, which inspired her passion for youth development and activity-based learning. She holds a B.S. in Recreation, concentration in Therapeutic Recreation, and M.S. in Assistive Technology Studies and Human Services. In her spare time, you can find Jennifer exploring nature, eating new foods while traveling, and thinking of the next project.
