Emily Davis

Senior Community EnGagement & Communications Specialist

Emily has been part of the DCYF Family for over a decade. The many hats she wears at DCYF include social media management, writing and editing content for DCYF’s publications, and summer, summer, summer! Emily is DCYF’s lead for the City’s annual Summer Resource Fairs, she has multiple roles related to the Summer Together Initiative, and she manages DCYF and our grantees’ participation in National Summer Learning Week. Emily also manages our grantees’ participation in the National Lights on Afterschool event, and she is DCYF’s 311 Liaison, Language Access Ordinance Liaison, and our Co-Custodian of Public Records.

When she’s not working, you’ll usually find Emily planning her next trip. One of her life goals is to visit every continent, and Australia and Antarctica are the only two she has yet to set foot on. She makes it back to her hometown of Springfield, Missouri — the “Queen City of the Ozarks,” not The Simpsons Springfield — to visit her family several times per year. Sometimes those visits include a trip to visit her alma mater, the University of Missouri-Columbia, where Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. MIZ!
